Housekeeping Attendant

Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeping Attendant to join a leading hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring an exceptional experience for hotel guests.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Room Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean, organize, and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards.
  • Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
  • Vacuum carpets, dust furniture, clean windows, and ensure rooms are guest-ready.
  • Inspect rooms to ensure cleanliness, comfort, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, or repair requirements to the relevant department.

Bathroom Cleaning & Sanitation

  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, and mirrors.
  • Replace toiletries and bathroom supplies as required.
  • Ensure all bathroom areas meet hygiene and sanitation standards.

Public Area Housekeeping

  • Maintain cleanliness in hallways, lobbies, staircases, elevators, and other common areas.
  • Ensure public spaces remain presentable and welcoming for guests at all times.
  • Remove waste and dispose of trash according to hotel procedures.

Inventory & Supply Management

  • Monitor housekeeping supplies, guest amenities, linens, and cleaning materials.
  • Maintain housekeeping carts and storage areas in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Assist in inventory control by reporting low stock levels and supply requirements.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning products and equipment.

Guest Service & Communication

  • Provide friendly, professional, and courteous assistance to hotel guests.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and housekeeping-related inquiries.
  • Maintain a positive attitude while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to support guest satisfaction.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow housekeeping procedures, health regulations, and hotel cleanliness standards.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Maintain awareness of workplace safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and operational procedures.

Lost & Found Management

  • Follow established procedures for handling lost and found items.
  • Accurately document and store guest belongings until claimed.
  • Protect guest privacy and maintain strict confidentiality regarding personal information and possessions.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of overall work experience.
  • At least 2 years of relevant housekeeping experience within hotels, resorts, serviced apartments, or hospitality establishments.
  • GCC hospitality experience is considered an advantage.
