Project Site Engineer – Construction Management
The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to oversee daily construction operations and drive project success. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing resources, maintaining technical standards, and ensuring that all site activities align with project timelines, budget constraints, and strict safety protocols. You will serve as a key link between the design team and the on-site workforce, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Planning

Collaborate with the project management team to develop site layouts, establish work schedules, and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.

Serve as the primary point of contact for architects, consultants, and subcontractors, facilitating clear communication and swift resolution of technical issues.

Monitor the procurement lifecycle, ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment to prevent project delays.
Quality Assurance & Technical Support

Enforce rigorous quality standards, conducting inspections to verify that all workmanship and materials comply with project blueprints, specifications, and regulatory codes.

Provide on-the-ground technical direction to site crews, troubleshooting construction challenges and offering practical solutions to maintain workflow efficiency.

Maintain a comprehensive digital and physical filing system for project documentation, including daily logs, inspection reports, and as-built drawings.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

Champion a culture of safety by enforcing HSE regulations and conducting regular site audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

Lead safety briefings and tool-box talks, ensuring all team members are aware of emergency procedures and risk management practices.

Support company-wide sustainability and safety initiatives, contributing to incident investigations and corrective action plans.
Budget & Client Management

Track project expenditures and resource usage, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or safety.

Cultivate strong relationships with clients by providing regular progress reports, managing expectations, and addressing concerns promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Acumen: Deep knowledge of construction methodologies, structural systems, and material properties. Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD), project management platforms (e.g., Primavera, MS Project), and surveying tools is essential.

Problem Solving: Proven ability to analyze complex site conditions and implement immediate, effective solutions to keep projects on track.

Safety Mindset: Comprehensive understanding of OSHA standards and local building codes, with a track record of maintaining zero-incident sites.

Communication: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to manage diverse teams and negotiate with stakeholders effectively.

Systems Knowledge: Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP functional modules, is a distinct advantage for managing data and reporting.
Experience & Education

Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction or civil engineering sector, with at least 3 years in a direct site supervisory capacity.

Regional Experience: Previous experience working within the GCC region (2+ years) is highly preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required. Professional certification (e.g., PMP, OSHA) is a plus.
