Employee Relations Officer

Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and people-focused Employee Relations Officer to support a positive workplace culture and deliver high-quality HR services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing employee relations activities, providing guidance on HR policies, supporting employee lifecycle processes, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company procedures.

This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, sound knowledge of labor regulations, and the ability to build strong relationships with employees and management while promoting engagement, fairness, and organizational effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
  • Foster a positive employee experience by promoting fair, transparent, and customer-focused HR practices.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth employee transition throughout the employment lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, files, and HR documentation.
  • Process HR transactions including leave management, employee information updates, business letters, reimbursements, medical insurance administration, and HR service requests.
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, employment regulations, and internal procedures.
  • Assist in resolving employee concerns, workplace conflicts, and grievances through effective communication and appropriate escalation when necessary.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, employment practices, and workplace expectations.
  • Stay informed about updates to labor laws, HR regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Support employee engagement, wellness, recognition, and retention initiatives.
  • Prepare HR reports, maintain accurate records, and analyze employee-related data to support informed decision-making.
  • Contribute ideas to improve HR processes, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), Quality Management (QM), and Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements.
  • Participate in safety awareness programs and support company initiatives that promote a safe and productive workplace.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Professional HR certifications such as CIPD, SHRM, PHR, or equivalent are considered an advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of overall professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in employee relations, HR operations, or human resources.
  • Previous GCC HR experience is preferred but not mandatory.
