Business Development Manager – Process Safety & Risk Software
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive market expansion and build lasting client relationships. In this role, you will focus on identifying new business opportunities, shaping market entry strategies, and supporting overall growth objectives.
You will report directly to the Plant Growth Manager and work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to execute growth plans.
Primary Responsibilities
Market Research & Strategy

Conduct thorough market analysis to uncover potential opportunities, especially in new geographic markets.

Assess market conditions and help formulate effective entry strategies.

Support the Growth Manager in defining and executing the overall growth roadmap.
Lead Generation & Opportunity Management

Identify high-potential sales leads and nurture mature business opportunities before handing them over to the sales team for closure.

Monitor industry trends and competitor movements.

Adjust strategies based on changing market dynamics and company goals.
Product & Go-to-Market Support
-
Share customer feedback and market demands with product teams to influence development.

Help create go-to-market plans covering pricing, positioning, and promotional activities.

Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement growth initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with other business units to leverage their networks and experience when exploring new markets.

Enable quick decision-making by providing the Growth Manager with timely information and insights.

About You (Qualifications & Experience)
Must-Have:

Technical background in process safety, risk, and reliability
-
10 to 20 years of working experience in the oil and gas industry
-
Experience with AI in business development activities
-
Familiarity with target setting and performance management for BD efforts
-
Ability to work closely with marketing teams on go-to-market strategies
-
Knowledge of pre-sales processes, including demo support

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities

Understanding of technical and industry regulations

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

Willingness to travel as needed
