Catering Site Manager

The Catering Site Manager holds key control and serves as the principal representative for the entire project site. This role manages daily procurement operationsstore roomskitchendining roomslodging facilitiesdelivery, and transportation of food.

The position is responsible for orientation of new and incoming employees to their assigned tasks in each department, planning and preparing employee schedulesreportstraining, and requisitions as necessary.

The Catering Site Manager maintains inventory controlrecipescost controlsafety, and health standards, and reports directly to the Projects Manager / Senior Catering Supervisor on all departmental responsibilities.


Job Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Hygiene Monitoring

  • Inspect employees daily for cleanliness and health problems.

  • Monitor and check cleaning procedure execution.

  • Monitor and check proper food handling procedures.

  • Conduct orientation of new and incoming employees on specific tasks including cleaning proceduresuse of equipment, and supplies.

  • Inspect kitchendish roompot-washing roomstore roomsstorage facilitiesdining roomsemployee restrooms, and garbage disposal to ensure cleaning standards are met.

  • Ensure proper coverage of employees for each concerned department and maintain daily timesheets of all employees.

  • Maintain coordination of Process and Quality monitoring forms by HACCP Principles and practices.


Operational & Financial Management

  • Liaise with the Production Manager and Site Supervisors on operational and quality functions in each department.

  • Achieve budgeted profit targets.

  • Ensure timely accurate accounting and production within the site.

  • Ensure compliance with contract and company policies and procedures.

  • Determine requirements in ingredients and set portions.

  • Schedule staff shifts.

  • Train and manage wait staff and kitchen personnel.

  • Oversee food preparation and customer service.

  • Report on expenses.

  • Manage stock and place orders as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.


Job Knowledge & Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of Food Safety

  • Thorough knowledge of food servicefood production, and employee management

  • Knowledge of personal health standards

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role
