Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeping Attendant to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining clean, organized, and comfortable guest rooms and public areas while delivering exceptional service. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment that enhances the overall guest experience and reflects the hotel’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards.
• Make beds, replace linens, towels, and replenish guest amenities.
• Vacuum carpets, dust furniture, clean windows, and ensure all room fixtures are spotless.
• Thoroughly clean and disinfect bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, mirrors, and floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as hallways, lobbies, elevators, and staircases.
• Collect, sort, and dispose of waste using proper waste management procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
• Follow hotel cleaning procedures, health regulations, and safety guidelines at all times.
• Keep housekeeping carts, linen rooms, and storage areas clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, and report shortages.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with colleagues and other departments to maintain efficient hotel operations.
• Handle lost-and-found items according to company policies.
• Respect guest privacy and maintain strict confidentiality regarding personal belongings and information.
• Support additional housekeeping duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and sanitation practices.
• Experience using housekeeping tools, cleaning equipment, and chemicals safely.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of workplace health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
• Physically fit and capable of standing, walking, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of overall work experience in housekeeping or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant housekeeping experience in hotels, resorts, or hospitality establishments.
• Previous GCC hospitality experience is an added advantage.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
