Quantity Surveyor jobs in fit out operations are now available for experienced professionals. We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to assist our projects team with commercial activities, contract management, and cost control for fit out projects valued between AED 50–100 million. The ideal candidate has a strong contractual background and expertise in FIDIC contracts.

 

Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor to support the projects team by coordinating commercial activities with internal and external stakeholders for our fit out operations. You will play a key role in cost monitoring, billing, variation tracking, and contract compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial & Contractual Activities

• Perform all commercial activities including contractual documentation and writing.

• Prepare and track variation submittals.

• Prepare progress billing and follow up on collections.

• Check Bill of Quantities (BOQs) against drawings to raise claims.

• Assist the Project Manager with cost monitoring and controlling.

Budget & Procurement

• Prepare work orders and recommendations for subcontract and material orders, ensuring costs remain within project budget.

• Ensure compliance with the commercial framework.

Quantity Surveying (QS) Functions

• Carry out QS functions including BOQ preparation, management, and measurement activities.

Contract & Claim Management

• Evaluate all contractual correspondence between clients and Project Manager to recommend suitable responses.

• Ensure any project delays are properly documented to avoid company liability.

• Negotiate extensions of timelines with main contractors or clients.

• Verify that the final contract matches the original letter of intent.

• Advise the Project Manager on responding to contractual claims and delays.

Invoicing & Final Accounts

• Submit monthly progress invoice evaluations for project sites.

• Follow up on delays caused by other contractors and document consequences to the company.

• Ensure timely submission and agreement of project final accounts with clients.

• Close out subcontractor final accounts on time and reverse duplicate orders on Epicor.

Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare a project cost report each month and present it to senior management for review.

• Coordinate and liaise with Estimation and Purchasing Departments, as well as other contractors on site, regarding project finances, expenditures, delays, and required materials.

• Ensure compliance with the company code of conduct at all times.

Personal Qualities & Experience

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the same position

• From a Quantity Surveying and contractual background

• Fully astute in the various forms of FIDIC Contracts

• Capable of handling projects valued AED 50–100 million

Technical Skills

• Ability to finalize contractual terms with contractors

• Proficient in MS Office applications

• Strong knowledge of the interiors / fit out industry

Soft Skills

• Good technical awareness with problem-solving ability

• High attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work successfully in a multinational environment

• Efficient time management, high responsibility, and dependability
