Workshop Supervisor – Automobile Service & Repair

Workshop Supervisor jobs in Dubai and automobile service management roles in the UAE are now available for experienced automotive professionals. We are seeking a Workshop Supervisor to receive job orders from Service Advisors, manage workshop loading, provide technical justifications for additional repairs with cost estimates, and ensure customer satisfaction and positive ownership experience. The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering with 3 to 7 years of experience as a Workshop Supervisor in the Automobile Industry, preferably in a Dealer Automobile Industry environment.

Job Description

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Receive Job Orders for service and repair jobs from Service Advisors.

  • Manage loading and workshop workflow.

  • Provide a detailed explanation and technical justification for additional repairs with cost estimates, and obtain approval from the customer.

  • Make every effort to resolve customer complaints and ensure the customer has a positive ownership experience.

  • Raise material requisition for approved additional parts, follow up on ordered parts, and keep advisors informed.

  • Ensure an adequate number of vehicles are received (service order opened) and achieve budgeted revenue targets.

  • Demonstrate a flair for selling value-added servicestyresaccessories, etc.


Operational Responsibilities

  • Achieve set targets for productive efficiency on a monthly basis.

  • Ensure workshop productivity is maximized.

  • Regularly monitor service orders (WIP) and ensure timely billing.

  • Ensure vehicle ready turnaround time is met.

  • Achieve Fix Right First Time (FIRFT) targets.

  • Ensure Technician skills are developed for cross-functionality.

  • Ensure all direct subordinates are updated on their daily or weekly performance.

  • Coach and educate technicians on how to improve their performance and achieve KPIs.

  • Ensure SOP and workshop standards are exercised and complied with.


Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

Experience

  • 3 to 7 years of experience as a Workshop Supervisor in the Automobile Industry.

  • Experienced in the Dealer Automobile Industry.
