We are seeking an HGV Driver to drive a truck primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise or to deliver packages, with responsibilities including loading and unloading vehicles, following delivery schedules, ensuring vehicle cleanliness and maintenance, and adhering to road safety procedures and local driving laws. The ideal candidate holds a full and clean Heavy Goods Vehicle driving license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience, has a Bachelor’s degree, and possesses strong written and spoken English skills.

Job Summary

Drive a truck (HGV) primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise or to deliver packages. May load and unload the vehicle.

Job Responsibilities

Vehicle & Safety Standards

• Ensure that trucks and vehicles are always clean and well driven to represent the company correctly.

• Drive in a manner which ensures the safety of products and staff.

• Follow the strictest road safety procedures and local driving laws without fail.

Delivery Operations

• Follow delivery schedules accurately.

• Use company mobile phones in a proper manner and strictly only for business purposes.

• Ensure all trucks and vehicles are maintained and fuelled correctly according to schedule.

• Oversee the correct loading and unloading of vehicles.

• Assist Installers with delivery and assembly.

Route & Product Care

• Have sound knowledge of the country and area for delivery.

• Check destination knowledge in advance with Supervisor/Manager for unknown locations.

• Take care not to damage product.

Candidate Requirements

License & Experience

• Full and clean Heavy Goods Vehicle driving license.

• Minimum 2 years driving experience.

Language

• Written and spoken English.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree.
