We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead the team in all activities, ensuring building contracts are won and delivered on time, to the highest quality, and within budget, whilst maximizing client satisfaction. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 15 years of experience in the same field, a track record of successful delivery of multiple projects exceeding client expectations, and proven experience managing teams, supply chain, direct employees, and consultants.

Role Summary

The desired candidate is responsible for leading the team in all activities to ensure that building contracts are won and delivered on time, to the highest quality, and within budget, whilst maximizing client satisfaction. The person will be responsible for working with the Project Managers and commercial teams monthly to produce Cost/Value reconciliations. Ensure that contract obligations are met, services are delivered efficiently, and that all risks are identified and managed.

Role Description

Contract & Project Planning

• Contract review, negotiations, and project execution planning.

• Fully understand the required performance against targets, identify and manage potential risks and opportunities.

• Specifying project objectives and plans, including delineation of scope, budgeting, scheduling, setting performance requirements, and selecting project subcontractors.

• Compile procurement schedules and liaise with Project Managers and commercial teams on site supply and specialist requirements, specifying deadlines.

Strategy & Execution

• Develop and implement project strategy and program. Interrogate reporting on progress and instigate early corrective actions as required.

• Representing the company where required at site meetings.

• Ensure accurate records are kept as construction progresses throughout the projects.

• Monitor site practices and routines to ensure compliance with relevant company procedures and practices.

Project Handover & Quality

• Lead the project handover and ensure defect/snag-free completion.

• Implement a robust strategy for the closure of any defects and obtain certification.

Regional Development

• Developing project management and installation capabilities in different regions of the Kingdom.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.

• Monitor methods and output to ensure the required quality standards are achieved at minimum cost.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

• Develop, nurture and manage client relationships.

• Develop, nurture and manage supply chain relationships.

Site & Resource Management

• Responsible for the overview of the construction sites, and management of vendors and trades.

• Monitor organization and methods to ensure maximum efficiency.

• Maximizing resource efficiency (labour, materials, and equipment).

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and motivate the delivery team and ensure its balance and shape to deliver workload profile.

• Recruit, reward, retain and develop the best people.

• Maintain continuous professional development of yourself and your team to ensure appropriate technical awareness. Develop and maximize potential of team members.

• Share best practices and drive continuous improvement.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in the same field.

• A track record of successful delivery of multiple projects exceeding client expectations.

• Experience of controlling costs, timing and quality in line with targets.

• Be able to resolve technical, operational and contractual issues on site.

• Good knowledge of the Fit-Out market.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a multinational market environment.

• Proven experience managing teams, supply chain, direct employees and consultants.
