Construction Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee daily construction site operations and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with approved quality standards. The successful candidate will supervise site teams and subcontractors, coordinate construction activities, monitor project progress, and ensure compliance with engineering specifications, safety regulations, and company procedures. This role is essential in maintaining productivity, minimizing project risks, and delivering successful construction outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities to ensure work progresses according to project schedules and quality standards.
• Manage and oversee subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, project specifications, and company procedures.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, and material requirements to maintain uninterrupted site operations.
• Prepare and monitor material requests to ensure timely availability of construction resources.
• Conduct routine site inspections to verify work quality, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards while promoting a safe working environment for all site personnel.
• Investigate site incidents, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with company safety protocols.
• Supervise excavation activities, including equipment allocation, dewatering operations, shoring systems, and excavation safety requirements.
• Oversee construction activities such as foundations, concrete works, masonry, carpentry, formwork, pipe installation, backfilling, chamber construction, and finishing works.
• Coordinate with project engineers, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues and maintain project progress.
• Conduct progressive inspections and punch list reviews to ensure work is completed before final project handover.
• Monitor workforce attendance, productivity, and performance while maintaining accurate site records.
• Lead toolbox talks, daily pre-start meetings, and safety briefings to reinforce safe work practices and project objectives.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to HSE programs, incident reporting, and compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS).

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, site supervision, and project execution.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, construction specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience supervising civil construction activities, subcontractors, and multi-disciplinary site teams.
• Good understanding of construction materials, equipment, and site operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Thorough knowledge of workplace safety regulations and hazard identification.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP knowledge is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction reporting tools.

Experience Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of professional construction experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in construction site supervision.
• GCC experience (minimum 2 years) is preferred and considered an advantage.
