Job Summary

An MEP BIM Coordinator leads the integration of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Firefighting (MEPF) systems within 3D models, ensuring design accuracy and constructability using software like Revit and Navisworks. They manage clash detection, enforce BIM standards (BEP), and collaborate with design/construction teams.

Key Responsibilities (Internal Business Process)

Contribute and support BIM project Documents such as BIM Execution Plan, Master Information Delivery Plan (MIPD)
Collaborate with project teams to establish BIM goals and objectives and ensure that they are met in a timely and efficient manner
Provide technical support and training to project teams on BIM software and processes, create and update the Revit Families library.
Coordinate and manage the integration of BIM models from multiple disciplines
Coordinate BIM file exchange, and mentor teams on the correct use of BIM software and BIM process.
Ensure that project teams comply with all BIM requirements, including quality control, project delivery, and model management
Continually research new methods to improve existing workflows, and recommend improvements to enhance the company’s BIM processes and standards
Configure and maintain the project Common Data Environment to enable the effective management of engineering design deliverables.
Create and update standard Navisworks clash reports.
Ensures compliance with the approved BIM Execution and BIM Scope Plans

Overall Experience Required to Execute this Role

Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering
Overall 12 years of BIM. Autodesk & REVIT practical experience in an architectural/engineering production environment
Knowledge of International Standards, especially BS EN ISO19650
Proficiency on BIM360
Grasshopper & Dynamo are highly desired but not a must
Working knowledge of Navisworks 3D coordination software
Advanced understanding of BIM processes and ability to develop this on new projects
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proficiency in both spoken and written English is essential
Good communication and presentation skills
Good interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Aconex and expertise in Autodesk BIM are essential for fulfilling this role.
