Business Analyst – Business Process & ERP

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support business improvement initiatives by analyzing processes, gathering requirements, evaluating business needs, and helping translate organizational objectives into practical technology and process solutions.

The role will involve working closely with stakeholders across different business functions to understand existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, define requirements, and support the development and implementation of effective business solutions. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with business processes, data, systems, and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand operational requirements, business challenges, objectives, and improvement opportunities.
  • Gather, analyze, validate, and document business requirements through stakeholder meetings, interviews, workshops, observations, site visits, and document reviews.
  • Prepare clear business requirements documents, functional specifications, process documentation, and related analysis materials.
  • Review existing business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, unnecessary activities, process gaps, and opportunities for simplification.
  • Work with process owners and functional teams to evaluate current practices and develop improved processes aligned with business objectives.
  • Analyze business problems using structured business analysis techniques and recommend practical solutions.
  • Translate business needs into clearly defined functional requirements that can be understood by technical and implementation teams.
  • Support the identification, evaluation, and comparison of potential solution options based on business requirements and expected outcomes.
  • Develop process maps, workflow models, data models, and other analytical documentation where required.
  • Review business data and available information to identify trends, gaps, operational issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Define appropriate performance indicators and measurement approaches for new or improved business functionality.
  • Work with relevant teams to establish data sources, collection methods, reporting requirements, and tracking mechanisms.
  • Develop a strong understanding of core business systems, applications, data structures, and operational processes.
  • Collaborate with process, technology, change management, and other specialists to support business transformation initiatives.
  • Participate in projects across relevant stages of the project lifecycle, from requirements definition and analysis through implementation and post-implementation support.
  • Assess the potential operational impact of proposed process or system changes and communicate key findings to stakeholders.
  • Recommend process controls and improvements to address identified issues and strengthen operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure business analysis activities and proposed solutions remain consistent with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable requirements.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support user acceptance testing by reviewing test scenarios and validating that delivered functionality meets approved business requirements.
  • Assist stakeholders during implementation and adoption of new processes or system functionality.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date business process and requirements documentation.
  • Participate in project meetings, workshops, reviews, and solution discussions as required.
  • Provide analytical support for continuous improvement and business transformation initiatives.
  • Perform other business analysis and process improvement duties assigned by management.

Job Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of business process analysis, process mapping, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Good understanding of business operations, functional requirements, and enterprise systems.
  • Ability to analyze and document current and future-state business processes.
  • Knowledge of business and data modeling techniques.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to convert complex business needs into clear, structured requirements and functional specifications.
  • Good understanding of data sources, data collection, analysis, and performance measurement.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency in relevant business analysis, process mapping, documentation, and reporting tools.
  • ERP experience, preferably SAP functional knowledge, is required for successful performance in this role.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively within project teams and changing business environments.

Job Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of overall professional experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in business analysis, process improvement, systems analysis, or a related field.
  • GCC experience is an advantage, preferably with at least 2 years of regional work experience.
  • Experience working with ERP platforms, business process transformation, or enterprise systems is preferred.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification in Business Analysis, Process Management, Project Management, or a related field is an advantage.
