Electrical Engineer – Infrastructure & Utilities

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our site supervision team for high-profile infrastructure and utilities projects in Dubai. In this capacity, you will serve as a key technical authority, responsible for the daily inspection, quality verification, and compliance oversight of electrical works. You will ensure that all contractor activities align with project drawings, local authority regulations, and international safety standards, acting as a vital link between the client, consultants, and on-site execution teams.
Core Responsibilities
Site Inspection & Quality Control

Monitor all on-site construction activities to guarantee strict conformity with approved plans, specifications, and method statements.

Conduct continuous surveillance of electrical installations, including utilities, pumping stations, and road lighting systems.

Review Inspection Requests (IRs) and maintain comprehensive logs to track the status of approvals and inspections.
Documentation & Reporting

Maintain a precise daily diary capturing work progress, labor deployment, equipment usage, and any technical issues or rejections, reporting directly to the Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).

Verify the line, grade, and layout of completed works in coordination with the surveying team.

Document and report any deviations in workmanship or non-compliant contractor methodologies to the Resident Engineer (RE).
Stakeholder & Contractor Coordination

Act as the primary interface between the project team and public stakeholders to minimize construction impact on surrounding communities.

Collaborate daily with contractor foremen to provide technical guidance and ensure the accurate execution of tasks.

Liaise with relevant government bodies (e.g., RTA, DEWA, DM) to secure necessary approvals and ensure regulatory alignment.

Champion health and safety protocols, proactively identifying hazards and coordinating with project safety representatives to mitigate risks.

Oversee the sampling and testing of materials, ensuring quality assurance for new installations and suspect components.

Manage records for work executed on a “Day Works” basis, ensuring accurate cost and resource tracking.
Required Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction supervision, specifically managing electrical components for large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, stormwater networks, pumping/lifting stations).

Regional Expertise: Proven track record working within the UAE construction sector.

Regulatory Knowledge: Extensive familiarity with RTA regulations, DEWA standards, and Dubai Municipality (DM) requirements.

Soft Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building skills, capable of managing third-party interfaces and driving contractor performance.

Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of CAD software and standard engineering PC applications.
