HSE Coordinator
Construction HSE Coordinator jobs in Saudi Arabia and oil and gas safety leadership roles in the Middle East are now available for experienced HSE professionals. We are seeking a Construction HSE Coordinator to verify and ensure that all field activities are performed according to HSE policy, regulations, standards, and procedures, promoting all preventive and corrective actions as required. The ideal candidate has a University Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 12 years of experience in HSE in construction, fabrication, installation, and/or commissioning projects in the oil & gas or petrochemical industries, holding a NEBOSH GC / IGC certificate with ARAMCO approval considered an added advantage.
Job Summary / Role Description
Construction HSE Coordinator reports to the HSM or, while he is the HSE representative at site, he reports to the Site Manager.
He / She verifies and ensures that all field activities are performed according to the HSE policy, the regulations, standards and procedures, promoting all preventive and corrective action as required.
Duties and Responsibilities

Perform the Job Hazardous Analysis (JHA) and participate in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) .

Verify the adequacy and application of the site HSE plan and all related procedures, and prepare any revisions.

Update the HSE documentation during all construction phases when deemed necessary.

Check that subcontractors perform their activities in accordance with all applicable HSE procedures, regulations, and standards, promoting all necessary action to ensure compliance.

Organize, plan, and participate in periodical HSE walk arounds, inspections, and audits on site; prepare all relevant reports, action plans, verify follow-up, and ensure timely execution of corrective actions.

Organize, coordinate, and directly participate in HSE training activities on site.

Organize and participate in all relevant site HSE meetings, prepare the relevant MOM.

Cooperate with the client concerning the issue of any necessary work permits.

Organize, in case of work accidents, a full investigation of the event, finalized to the identification of corrective measures to avoid reoccurrence.

Keep accident records, identifying the areas to which prevention must be addressed.

Perform and/or promote the indoctrination / training of personnel.

Lead and coordinate the activities of the site HSE committee (composed of all contractor and subcontractor HSE representatives).

Lead and coordinate the site emergency response team and fire prevention / fighting team, organizing training and emergency drill mock activities.

Prepare the HSE section of the construction monthly progress report and other periodical reports.

Prepare and update the site HSE statistics, verify performance versus project and corporate HSE objectives, targets, and performance indicators.

Propose recovery plans in case of mismatch.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications
-
University Degree or Diploma in any Engineering field or equivalent.
Experience
-
Minimum 12 years of experience in HSE in construction, fabrication, installation, and/or commissioning projects / operations in the oil & gas or petrochemical industries.

Relevant experience in 3 major EPC projects in the oil & gas or petrochemical sector.

Holding a NEBOSH GC / IGC certificate.
-
ARAMCO approval will be an added advantage.
