Job Overview

Urbacon Saudi Company is seeking an experienced General Foreman to supervise daily construction site operations and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will coordinate site activities, manage workforce productivity, oversee subcontractors, and ensure compliance with project schedules, technical specifications, and health and safety regulations.

This role is essential in delivering construction projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with company quality and safety standards.


Key Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Construction Management

  • Supervise daily construction activities to ensure work is completed according to approved project plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Coordinate site operations with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to maintain efficient workflow.
  • Monitor workforce productivity and allocate labor, materials, and equipment effectively to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with approved shop drawings, method statements, and project requirements.

Quality Assurance

  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with company quality standards and client specifications.
  • Identify defects or non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions to minimize rework.
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure work is completed accurately on the first attempt whenever possible.
  • Verify that only the latest approved drawings and documentation are used on-site.

Resource & Productivity Management

  • Plan and coordinate daily labor requirements, equipment usage, and material distribution.
  • Monitor resource utilization to maintain productivity while controlling project costs.
  • Ensure assigned work packages are completed within the planned timeframe and budget.
  • Report site progress, workforce performance, and operational issues to the Site Engineer or Project Management team.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

  • Enforce company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and safe work practices across the construction site.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections to ensure all personnel comply with safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Identify workplace hazards and immediately report potential risks to the Site Engineer or HSE team.
  • Support Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) initiatives and contribute to maintaining a zero Lost Time Incident (LTI) culture.
  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, incident reporting, and continuous safety improvement initiatives.

Coordination & Communication

  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to resolve site issues efficiently.
  • Coordinate construction activities across multiple work areas to maintain project schedules.
  • Provide technical guidance and daily direction to construction crews.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, workforce attendance, and daily progress.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, site supervision, and project execution.
  • Solid understanding of construction drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors, construction crews, and site resources.
  • Good understanding of quality assurance and quality control procedures in construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Familiarity with Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) principles and safe construction practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple site activities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with SAP ERP or similar enterprise systems is an advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction site supervision or general foreman roles.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience leading construction teams on building or infrastructure projects.
  • Previous GCC construction experience is preferred.
  • Diploma or technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is an advantage.
