Logistics Manager jobs in interior fit-out contracting are now available for experienced supply chain professionals. We are seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee finished goods storageinbound and outbound shipmentsfreight forwarding coordination, and warehouse distribution for a leading fit-out company. The ideal candidate has 10–15 years of experience in logistics management within the interior fit-out industry, with expertise in import/export clearancecustom duty refund claims, and ERP systems.


Role Summary

This position is responsible for the overall management, organization, storage, and distribution of finished goods, coordinating inbound shipments, and ensuring smooth workflow across packingfinished goods storagetransportation, and customer service teams.


Role Description – Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Department Management

  • Strategically plan and manage the logistics department, including packing, finished goods storage, transportation, and customer services.

  • Direct, optimize, and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, monitoring to ensure minimal disruptions.

Team Supervision & Performance

  • Supervise, coach, and monitor the daily performance of the logistics workforce.

  • Resolve problems or complaints concerning transportation and logistics of import/export goods.

Inventory & Storage Management

  • Analyze finished goods levels and warehouse arrangement on a weekly basis to ensure peak efficiency for client-site delivery.

  • Review and coordinate finished goods storage arrangements to ensure appropriate storage, particularly for sensitive materials or finishes.

  • Flag any potential supply issues promptly and proactively, sharing solutions with relevant teams.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Manage good relationships with freight forwarders, clearing agents, project managers, store managers at client yards, and customs authorities as required.

Quality Control & Documentation

  • Personally review and establish a thorough, well-documented sign-off process to ensure no degradation in quality or quantity of finished goods entering or leaving the warehouse.

  • Ensure all finished goods are appropriately catalogued and their distribution is planned effectively.

Reporting & Tracking

  • Submit weekly, monthly, and yearly reports as required by management on a regular and prompt basis.

  • Maintain a daily tracker with a 15-day look-ahead action plan.

Cost Management & Freight Negotiation

  • Regularly review freight forwarder costs and work with procurement to ensure value for money, efficient and reliable delivery of finished items.

  • Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective and efficient means of transporting products or supplies.

Performance Metrics & Compliance

  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.

  • Maintain quality metrics and analyze data to assess performance, implementing improvements with proper evaluation of freight forwarder efficiency.

  • Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.

  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes.


Personal Qualities – Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate for the Logistics Manager role has the following skills, personal qualities, and experience:

Experience

  • Minimum 10–15 years of similar functional experience, with the majority of experience in an interior fit-out contracting company or group of companies

  • Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business AdministrationLogistics, or Supply Chain

Technical & Functional Expertise

  • Experience in freight negotiation with freight forwarders for imports and exports

  • Expert knowledge in Export Documentation

  • Well-versed in Import and Export Clearance and Custom Duty Refund claims process

  • Proficient in standard logistics software – ERP systems

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff

  • Excellent analyticalproblem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects

  • Able to communicate well with all levels within the organization

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Sets, maintains, and demonstrates high standards of work ethics and behavior
