Room Attendant – Luxury Hotel Housekeeping

Role Overview

As a Room Attendant, you are responsible for ensuring guest rooms and suites are cleaned, maintained, and presented to the highest luxury standards. You play a key role in creating a welcoming, comfortable, and immaculate environment for every guest.

You will deliver consistent attention to detaildiscretion, and service excellence in line with the luxury brand.


Key Responsibilities

Room Cleaning & Preparation

  • Clean, service, and maintain guest rooms and suites according to brand standards.

  • Make beds, change linens, and ensure rooms are fully refreshed.

  • Clean bathrooms, replenish amenities, and ensure all surfaces are spotless.

  • Ensure rooms are well-presented, tidy, and ready for guest arrival or return.

Guest Service

  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.

  • Provide additional amenities or items as required.

  • Respect guest privacy and always maintain discretion.

  • Report any guest concerns or unusual observations to supervisors.

Public Area Support (as required)

  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of corridorsservice areas, and back-of-house spaces.

  • Support the housekeeping team in maintaining overall hotel cleanliness standards.

Turn-down Service

  • Provide evening turndown service where required.

  • Ensure rooms are refreshed, lights adjusted, and amenities prepared for guest comfort.

Health, Safety & Hygiene

  • Follow all housekeeping hygienesafety, and sanitation procedures.

  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly and safely.

  • Ensure proper handling of guest belongings and Lost & Found procedures.

  • Maintain clean and organised housekeeping trolleys and storage areas.

Quality & Standards

  • Ensure all rooms meet luxury cleanliness and presentation standards.

  • Report maintenance issues or defects promptly.

  • Follow SOPs and daily cleaning schedules accurately.


Qualifications & Experience

Experience

  • Previous housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel or resort preferred.

  • Understanding of cleaning standards and procedures is an advantage.

  • Ability to work in a physically active role.

  • Basic communication skills in English preferred.
