Government Relations Coordinator

We are looking for a proactive Government Relations Coordinator to handle all government-related transactions in a timely and efficient manner. In this role, you will work closely with regulatory bodies, manage license renewals, process employee visas, and ensure full compliance with UAE labor and immigration laws.

You will provide regular updates to the Lead – Government Relations and collaborate with HR and Accounts departments on visa processing and employee-related matters.


Key Responsibilities

Licensing & Document Renewals

  • Organize and manage periodic renewal of company licenses.

  • Handle license and document renewals across all seven emirates of the UAE.

  • Submit correct documentation to obtain new licenses as required.

Visa & Immigration Processing

  • Process employment visas, residency permits, labour cards, and all related renewals.

  • Assist with processing of visit visas.

  • Coordinate with government authorities and relevant departments for visa approvals.

Government Liaison & Representation

  • Represent the company at police stations, airports, embassies, ministries, municipalities, and other government offices.

  • Submit and collect official documents from government offices and typing centers.

  • Maintain healthy relationships with the Ministry of Labor, immigration authorities, and other regulatory bodies.

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Liaise closely with HR and Accounts departments for visa processing, cancellations, and other employee-related procedures.

  • Assist the administration team as needed.

  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on government policies and procedures.

Compliance & Updates

  • Ensure full compliance with UAE labor laws and immigration requirements.

  • Share regular status updates with the Lead – Government Relations.


Candidate Requirements

Experience

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in government relations or public relations (PRO) role in the UAE

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of UAE labor law and visa procedures

  • Familiarity with government portals (e.g., MOHRE, ICP, GDRFA, TAMM)

  • IT literate – Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel

Soft Skills

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work successfully in a multinational environment

Mandatory

  • Valid UAE driving license (must have)
