Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Operations Engineer to design, automate, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The successful candidate will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps, AIOps, and CI/CD practices to optimize cloud operations, improve system reliability, and accelerate application delivery. This role works closely with development, security, and IT teams to implement automation, enhance observability, and support modern cloud-native platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and hybrid environments.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar automation platforms.
- Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline operational tasks and eliminate manual processes.
- Deploy, manage, and orchestrate containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native container platforms.
- Implement AI-powered operational solutions, including intelligent monitoring, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, automated remediation, and self-healing infrastructure.
- Configure and manage cloud networking components, including virtual networks, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, load balancers, and secure connectivity.
- Administer identity and access management (IAM), role-based access control (RBAC), and cloud security policies.
- Manage secrets, encryption keys, and certificates using Azure Key Vault, Google Cloud KMS, or equivalent security services.
- Monitor infrastructure health, application performance, and system availability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and other observability platforms.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues while implementing automation to improve incident response and operational efficiency.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs through automation, tagging strategies, autoscaling, budgeting, and resource rightsizing.
- Collaborate with software development, security, and infrastructure teams to support cloud adoption, DevOps initiatives, and production deployments.
- Ensure development, testing, staging, and production environments remain secure, standardized, and fully automated.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure architecture, automation workflows, operational procedures, disaster recovery, and deployment standards.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies, DevOps tools, AIOps platforms, and DevSecOps practices to drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) administration and cloud services.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automation best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms including Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of cloud networking, security, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, and DNS management.
- Experience implementing Identity and Access Management (IAM), RBAC, and cloud security controls.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, and cloud-native monitoring solutions.
- Understanding of AIOps concepts, AI-driven automation, predictive monitoring, and intelligent incident management.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and cloud security best practices.
- Experience with cloud cost optimization, governance, and resource management.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
