Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physical Therapist II to provide specialized physiotherapy services for patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, and rehabilitation needs. Working as an autonomous practitioner within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will assess, develop, and deliver evidence-based treatment plans that promote recovery, improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance patients‘ quality of life. This role requires strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for both inpatient and outpatient cases with complex rehabilitation needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s condition and recovery goals.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions using manual therapy, movement therapy, exercise prescription, electrotherapy, and other approved physiotherapy techniques.
  • Evaluate patient progress through standardized outcome measures and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other allied health professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and self-management techniques.
  • Manage an independent caseload while maintaining high standards of clinical documentation and patient care.
  • Provide specialist advice on mobility, rehabilitation strategies, safe patient handling, and injury prevention.
  • Perform specialized manual handling assessments and recommend safe transfer and mobility techniques.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, discharge planning, and rehabilitation planning meetings.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of rehabilitation services and clinical pathways.
  • Support clinical education by delivering in-service training, mentoring junior staff, and sharing professional knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with regulatory, legal, and organizational standards.
  • Comply with hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with current evidence-based practices, emerging rehabilitation technologies, and professional development requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong clinical expertise in physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation planning.
  • Advanced knowledge of evidence-based physiotherapy techniques and rehabilitation protocols.
  • Experience treating patients with orthopedic, neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardiopulmonary conditions.
  • Skilled in manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, electrotherapy, and movement rehabilitation.
  • Proficiency in administering standardized functional outcome measures.
  • Ability to manage complex patient cases independently while working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong patient assessment, clinical reasoning, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
  • Knowledge of safe patient handling, manual handling techniques, and rehabilitation equipment.
  • Familiarity with hydrotherapy and advanced rehabilitation technologies is an advantage.
  • Awareness of robotic-assisted rehabilitation and emerging physiotherapy technologies is desirable.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based clinical practice.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Physiotherapy license in the home country (for international applicants) or a current Qatar license to practice Physiotherapy.
  • Minimum 4 years of post-qualification clinical experience as a licensed Physiotherapist.
  • Previous experience in hospital, rehabilitation, or multidisciplinary healthcare environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more physiotherapy specialties such as orthopedics, neurology, sports medicine, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, pediatrics, or women’s health.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and continuing education is highly desirable.
  • For eligible Qatari nationals and designated local graduates, completion of the required supervised training period in accordance with applicable healthcare licensing regulations may be required.
