Job Overview

Parsons is seeking a motivated Project Coordinator (Emirati) to support the day-to-day operational and coordination activities of infrastructure projects in the UAE.

The Project Coordinator will work closely with the Resident Engineer (RE), Assistant Resident Engineer, site teams, contractors, design engineers, service authorities, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders to support the successful delivery of roads and infrastructure works.

The role involves construction coordination, technical documentation, site reporting, drawing and submittal reviews, stakeholder coordination, resource scheduling, and maintaining accurate project records while ensuring compliance with project quality and health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support coordination between multidisciplinary project, construction, design, and site teams.
  • Coordinate with site teams to collect and verify technical data, survey information, and as-built information.
  • Assist in reviewing engineering drawings, models, and technical documents to identify clashes, discrepancies, and coordination issues.
  • Prepare and update coordination drawings, project logs, trackers, records, and reports.
  • Attend project coordination meetings, prepare meeting minutes, track action items, and follow up on outstanding issues.
  • Support the review of shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation for compliance with project requirements.
  • Report to the Resident Engineer / Assistant Resident Engineer and support the coordination and supervision of roads, infrastructure works, and associated activities.
  • Coordinate with Parsons design engineers to facilitate the resolution of technical and design-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate daily diaries, site records, and daily inspection reports.
  • Coordinate with contractor engineers regarding construction schedules, manpower, equipment, materials, and resource requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring construction activities and ensuring that work progresses in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate meetings with service authorities, contractors, subcontractors, utility providers, and other relevant stakeholders when required.
  • Support effective communication between project stakeholders to facilitate timely resolution of construction and coordination issues.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely maintenance of project records and documentation.
  • Assist in monitoring project progress and reporting coordination issues, delays, and potential risks to the Resident Engineer.
  • Support the implementation of project quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Ensure project safety objectives are achieved and that approved health and safety procedures are implemented on site.
  • Actively participate in site health and safety initiatives as directed by the Resident Engineer and Project Safety Representatives.
  • Perform other project coordination responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • Emirati national eligible for the position.
  • Basic understanding of construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, roads, and site operations.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings, technical documentation, shop drawings, and material submittals.
  • Basic understanding of project coordination, construction activities, and site documentation.
  • Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, inspectors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project records.
  • Ability to work effectively in a site-based, multidisciplinary project environment.
  • Commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Previous exposure to roads, utilities, infrastructure, or civil construction projects is an advantage.
  • Understanding of construction scheduling, resource coordination, and project reporting.
  • Ability to review drawings and identify basic coordination issues and clashes.
  • Familiarity with CAD drawings, BIM models, or other engineering coordination tools is desirable.
  • Strong follow-up skills with the ability to track actions and ensure timely closure.
  • Proactive approach to resolving coordination and construction issues.
  • Ability to work under the direction of the Resident Engineer while coordinating effectively with multiple project teams.
  • Professional, organized, and team-oriented approach to project delivery.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining safe working practices on construction sites.
