Driver
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Driver to provide transportation services for employees, company guests, visitors, and authorized personnel. The role involves staff transportation, airport transfers, company errands, and other assigned driving duties while ensuring passengers are transported safely, professionally, and on time.
The Driver is also responsible for maintaining the assigned vehicle in good operating condition, carrying out routine vehicle checks, monitoring fuel usage, maintaining required vehicle documentation, and promptly reporting any mechanical or operational issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport employees between company accommodation, workplaces, offices, and other authorized locations.
- Provide transportation services for company guests, visitors, clients, and other authorized passengers.
- Conduct airport pick-up and drop-off services according to assigned schedules.
- Plan daily routes efficiently to ensure timely arrival while considering traffic, road conditions, and passenger requirements.
- Perform office and company-related errands, deliveries, document collections, and other authorized transportation tasks.
- Follow assigned schedules and coordinate with supervisors regarding changes to routes, timings, and transportation requirements.
- Maintain professional, courteous, and respectful behavior when dealing with passengers, visitors, and company representatives.
- Follow all applicable road traffic laws, transportation regulations, and company driving policies.
- Practice defensive driving and take appropriate precautions to protect passengers, pedestrians, other road users, and company property.
- Conduct a basic inspection of the vehicle before use, including checking tires, lights, brakes, fluids, fuel level, and other essential safety items.
- Report vehicle defects, warning indicators, accidents, damage, or mechanical issues to the supervisor or management immediately.
- Ensure the assigned vehicle is kept clean, presentable, secure, and in good working condition.
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance as instructed.
- Maintain accurate records relating to vehicle usage, mileage, fuel consumption, maintenance, repairs, and other required information.
- Use company fuel or petrol cards strictly in accordance with established company procedures.
- Monitor fuel levels and arrange refueling at appropriate intervals to avoid disruption to transportation services.
- Monitor vehicle registration, insurance, inspection, and other required document expiry dates and inform management in advance of renewal requirements.
- Assist with vehicle registration or renewal procedures as assigned.
- Ensure company vehicles are used only for authorized business purposes.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding passenger information, company activities, schedules, and business-related matters encountered during work.
- Report traffic incidents, accidents, fines, vehicle damage, or other relevant matters to management promptly.
- Assist passengers with luggage or other reasonable transportation-related requirements when appropriate.
- Maintain a professional appearance and comply with company standards while representing the organization.
- Perform other driving and transportation-related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
Vehicle Safety & Maintenance
- Complete daily or pre-trip vehicle inspections before commencing assigned duties.
- Monitor the vehicle’s overall condition and report maintenance requirements promptly.
- Ensure scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance are completed on time.
- Check essential vehicle safety items and ensure defects are addressed before continued operation where required.
- Maintain the vehicle’s interior and exterior in a clean and presentable condition.
- Ensure vehicle tools, emergency equipment, spare tires, and other required items are available and serviceable.
- Maintain accurate vehicle logs, mileage records, fuel records, and maintenance documentation.
- Immediately report accidents, breakdowns, mechanical concerns, or safety-related defects.
- Follow approved procedures when handling vehicle breakdowns or roadside emergencies.
Passenger & Customer Service
- Provide safe, comfortable, and punctual transportation to employees and authorized passengers.
- Maintain a courteous and professional attitude at all times.
- Assist passengers with directions, airport transfers, luggage, and other reasonable requirements.
- Respect passenger privacy and maintain confidentiality.
- Communicate any expected delays or changes in transportation arrangements to the supervisor and relevant passengers.
- Handle unexpected situations calmly and responsibly.
Job Knowledge & Skills
Required Knowledge
- Good knowledge of local roads, routes, traffic regulations, and driving requirements.
- Understanding of defensive and safe-driving techniques.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle operation and routine maintenance checks.
- Ability to identify common vehicle problems and recognize when professional maintenance is required.
- Good knowledge of route planning and navigation.
- Familiarity with GPS and smartphone-based navigation applications.
- Understanding of basic vehicle documentation, registration, inspection, and maintenance requirements.

Candidate Requirements
- Valid driving license appropriate for the assigned vehicle category.
- Good knowledge of local traffic laws and road-safety requirements.
- Clean or acceptable driving record in accordance with company requirements.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety inspections.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with employees, guests, visitors, and management.
- Basic computer and smartphone skills, including GPS/navigation applications.
- Physically capable of performing routine driving duties and reasonable vehicle-related activities.
- Professional appearance and customer-service attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays when operationally required.
Job Experience
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in staff transportation, company driving, corporate driving, hospitality, logistics, or a similar role.
- Previous experience transporting employees, management, guests, or clients is preferred.
- Experience with airport transfers and corporate transportation is an advantage.
- GCC driving experience is preferred, with at least 1 year considered an advantage.
- Experience driving company vehicles and maintaining vehicle logs is desirable.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a reliable, punctual, safety-conscious, and professional Driver who understands the importance of passenger safety, vehicle care, confidentiality, and customer service.
The candidate should be familiar with local roads and traffic conditions, capable of planning efficient routes, and comfortable working independently while maintaining regular communication with the supervisor.
Previous experience in corporate transportation, hospitality, construction, facilities management, logistics, or staff transportation will be an advantage.
