Foreman
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Foreman to supervise and coordinate site activities, workforce, materials, and daily work execution to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved plans and quality requirements.
The Foreman will work closely with the General Foreman, Chargehands, skilled workers, labor teams, subcontractors, and site management to coordinate daily activities and maintain productivity. The role requires strong knowledge of construction methods, workforce supervision, safety practices, quality standards, and site coordination.
The successful candidate will ensure that assigned work is completed within the required schedule while maintaining appropriate standards of safety, workmanship, productivity, and resource utilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site activities and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, schedules, and project requirements.
- Coordinate and allocate work to skilled workers, laborers, and assigned crews based on project priorities and available resources.
- Provide clear instructions, technical guidance, and day-to-day support to site personnel.
- Monitor workforce productivity and work progress against planned schedules and identify potential delays at an early stage.
- Coordinate with the General Foreman, Chargehands, engineers, supervisors, and project management to ensure smooth execution of site activities.
- Ensure workers, tools, equipment, and materials are available at the required locations and times.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to support uninterrupted site operations.
- Inspect completed and ongoing work to ensure required quality standards, specifications, and workmanship requirements are achieved.
- Identify defective or non-conforming work and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure work areas are properly organized and maintained to support safe and efficient operations.
- Enforce site safety rules, procedures, and applicable HSE requirements among all assigned personnel.
- Conduct or participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and other site safety activities as required.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and other HSE concerns through the appropriate channels.
- Monitor site conditions and identify operational, technical, or resource-related issues that may affect productivity or project schedules.
- Assist in resolving workforce-related issues and maintain effective communication among crew members.
- Maintain daily records of workforce attendance, work progress, material consumption, equipment usage, and other relevant site information.
- Provide regular updates to site management regarding progress, manpower requirements, material shortages, delays, and other operational concerns.
- Participate in planning and coordination meetings and provide practical input regarding manpower, work sequencing, resources, and execution requirements.
- Support efficient utilization of manpower, materials, tools, and equipment to minimize waste and unnecessary costs.
- Coordinate work activities with other trades and site teams to prevent conflicts and maintain efficient workflow.
- Ensure assigned work is completed within agreed schedules while maintaining safety and quality requirements.
- Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety-awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and corrective actions in accordance with company and Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist site management with daily and short-term work planning.
- Monitor material availability and report shortages or delays that could affect planned activities.
- Assist with manpower planning and deployment according to workload and project priorities.
- Support inspections, testing activities, and quality-control processes where applicable.
- Assist in project handover and rectification activities.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards within assigned work areas.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are used and maintained appropriately.
- Encourage teamwork, discipline, productivity, and professional conduct among site personnel.
- Perform other duties related to site supervision and construction activities as assigned by management.
Job Knowledge & Skills
Required Knowledge
- Good knowledge of construction methods, techniques, materials, tools, and equipment relevant to the assigned trade or work scope.
- Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, work instructions, method statements, and project schedules.
- Knowledge of workforce planning, crew allocation, productivity monitoring, and site coordination.
- Good understanding of construction quality requirements and workmanship standards.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
- Understanding of material handling, equipment utilization, and site logistics.
- Ability to identify construction-related problems and implement practical solutions.
- Basic understanding of project documentation, daily reports, work records, and progress reporting.
- Familiarity with ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.

Job Experience
- Minimum 5 years of professional work experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in construction/site supervision.
- Experience supervising skilled workers, labor teams, Chargehands, or similar site crews.
- Experience working on construction, engineering, infrastructure, industrial, facilities, or related projects is preferred.
- Previous experience coordinating subcontractors and site resources is an advantage.
- GCC experience is preferred, with a minimum of 2 years considered an advantage.
- Experience using SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a practical and hands-on site supervisor with strong leadership skills and sound knowledge of construction activities. The candidate should be capable of managing multiple crews, coordinating daily work activities, maintaining productivity, identifying site issues, and ensuring that work is performed safely and to the required quality standards.
Candidates with experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, industrial, facilities, MEP, civil, or other project-based environments will be considered depending on the assigned work scope.
