Project Engineer
We are looking for a highly motivated Project Engineer to manage and coordinate construction projects from planning through completion. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role requires close collaboration with architects, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to support seamless project execution while maintaining technical excellence and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project planning, scheduling, and execution to achieve project milestones within approved budgets.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and maintain project progress.
- Manage the procurement of construction materials, equipment, and required services while ensuring timely delivery.
- Monitor site activities, evaluate work quality, identify project risks, and implement corrective actions to minimize delays.
- Prepare, maintain, and update project documentation, including technical reports, RFIs, change orders, drawings, and progress records.
- Assist with project budgeting, cost estimation, expense tracking, and financial reporting to optimize project costs.
- Coordinate with local authorities and regulatory agencies to secure permits, inspections, and required approvals.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, project teams, and stakeholders by providing regular progress updates.
- Participate in technical meetings, contribute to project planning discussions, and provide engineering support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout all phases of the project.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of construction project management principles and engineering practices.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, quality standards, and site operations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, and contracts.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to project challenges.
- Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience using ERP systems, with SAP knowledge considered a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software is preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in construction or engineering projects.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in project engineering or construction management.
- Previous GCC experience (minimum 2 years) is preferred and will be considered an advantage.
